T-54是苏联研制的中型坦克，1946年采用，正式名称为“中型坦克T-54”，1947年批量生产。

1956年正式采用的T-54B是T-54的衍生型，主炮配备火炮稳定器，D-10T2S火炮配备排烟装置。

对T-54B进行了改进，包括引入夜视系统、标准化潜水穿越装置、增加外部油箱，将燃油容量增加到1,212升，将行驶里程增加到430公里。
